Our MeetingsThe Sterling Silver BNI chapter meets every Thursday at 12 - 1:30 P.M. at the Dulles Hilton 13869 Park Center Road Dulles, VA 20171.
This is a great group of people and a wonderful opportunity to be introduced to 30-40 business professionals in the community. Many business opportunities are passed, so be sure to bring 40-50 business cards for distribution to everyone. Our group is a lively group, so bring your sense of humor, too!
Dress is business or business casual (collared shirts for gentlemen and no jeans, please). The cost of the buffet is $18 payable at the door by cash or check. The food is always delicious, so make sure you bring your appetite as well.
After time for open networking and getting our food, our meeting begins exactly at 12:15 P.M. with introductions. While we are eating, we begin our individual 45-second infomercials - members and substitutes first, and then our guests. We introduce ourselves, our business, and tell who would make a great referral for us for direct business or as a referral source. If your business competes with an existing member's business we just ask that you not solicit direct referrals during the meeting, simply describe your business. Following the infomercials, we usually have an in-depth presentation from one of our members on their business and the type of referrals they'd like to receive. We wind up the meeting by documenting the referral business we've done, training, and one-to-one meetings we've had during the week. The meeting ends at 1:30 P.M. sharp, but you may want to plan on sticking around a bit to do some additional networking with people you've found interesting.
